Release notes

What shipped, and when.

Every version of the kit, newest first. Updates are included for the life of the kit, so whatever lands here is already yours.

v1.0 Current
7 September 2026
First release

The whole kit, in one file, with the agent skills that let your tooling read it. Everything below ships in every paid plan.

The Penpot file
  • 61 component pages carrying 1,839 addressable components across 142 variant containers.
  • Every page opens with a Components frame holding the full variant matrix; most add a usage frame showing the component in real context.
  • Built with real variant containers and instances rather than copies, so a change to a main reaches everything that uses it.
  • A Style Guide page and a Documentation section, written inside the file for people who never leave Penpot.
Design tokens
  • 611 tokens in five sets, with Light and Dark themes resolved end to end.
  • Semantic names on top of a palette - base.primary, base.muted-foreground, radius.lg - so a rebrand repoints tokens instead of editing components.
  • Fills, strokes, radii, spacing and type all bound. Type binds font-size and font-weight separately, because a typography token breaks line-height in Penpot.
  • Exports to a shadcn-shaped globals.css, and reads one back to repoint the kit.
Icons
  • The complete Tabler outline set, 5,130 icons, imported as editable vectors on their own page.
  • Drawn at 24 and used at 16 with the stroke kept, which is the weight every component in the kit is built to.
Agent skills
  • All 9 skills - setup, select, design, to-code, page, import-tokens, brand, audit and a11y - plus the 8 shared reference documents they read from.
  • Two paths: build in Penpot over the MCP, or build in code without opening Penpot. to-code bridges them by reading component identity rather than tracing a picture.
  • Four fully mapped code targets: shadcn/ui for React, shadcn-vue, shadcn-svelte, and plain HTML with Tailwind.
  • Install guide covering Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. The last two have no skills directory, so they get a routing table instead.
Documentation
  • This site: a page per component with a live preview of every variant, the numbers read from the file rather than transcribed.
  • Written docs on tokens, theming, extending the kit, the agent skills and self-hosting.
Licence
  • One payment, lifetime updates, no renewal.
  • Commercial use on unlimited projects, for yourself or for clients.
What comes next

New components and corrections arrive at no extra cost.

There is no renewal and no upgrade to plan for. When a component is added, a defect is fixed or a skill learns something new, it lands in the same file you already have and turns up here with the version it shipped in.
